It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to The Eldoret National Polytechnic. As the Dean of Students, I am committed to ensuring that every student enjoys a supportive, inclusive and conducive environment in which to learn, grow and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Student welfare is at the heart of our work. We are committed to supporting students in matters relating to accommodation, health and wellness, guidance and counselling, student leadership, discipline, co-curricular activities, financial and social welfare, as well as other concerns that may affect their academic journey and overall well-being.
The Eldoret National Polytechnic recognizes that successful student development goes beyond the classroom. We therefore encourage students to participate in sports, clubs, societies, leadership programmes, talent development and other constructive activities that build confidence, teamwork, responsibility, creativity and leadership skills.
I also encourage every student to uphold the values of respect, integrity, discipline, responsibility and peaceful coexistence. Students are encouraged to seek guidance whenever they face challenges and to make responsible choices that contribute to a safe, respectful and productive learning environment.
My office remains committed to maintaining an open and student-centred approach where students can raise their concerns and receive appropriate support. We shall continue working closely with students, staff, parents, student leaders and other stakeholders to promote a positive campus experience and prepare students to become responsible, skilled and productive members of society.
The Dean of Students Office provides a central point of support for students throughout their time at The Eldoret National Polytechnic. The office works with students, staff and other relevant offices to address student welfare concerns, promote responsible student life and create a safe and supportive environment for learning.
The office receives and assists students with welfare concerns that may affect their academic progress, personal well-being or ability to participate effectively in campus life. Students are guided on the appropriate institutional channels for resolving their concerns.
Students can seek support for personal, social, academic and other challenges. The office facilitates access to guidance and counselling services and encourages students to seek help early when difficulties arise.
The office supports student leadership structures and provides guidance to student representatives. It promotes responsible leadership, dialogue, communication and constructive engagement between students and the institution.
Students are encouraged to participate in sports, clubs, societies and other co-curricular activities. The office supports activities that promote teamwork, discipline, creativity, leadership and healthy social interaction.
The office promotes opportunities through which students can identify, develop and showcase their talents and abilities. Students are encouraged to take part in constructive activities that build confidence and life skills.
The office promotes discipline, respect, integrity and responsible conduct among students. It provides guidance on institutional expectations and supports appropriate processes for addressing student conduct and disciplinary concerns.
The office provides guidance to students on accommodation-related and other welfare matters, including where to seek assistance and how to follow the appropriate institutional procedures.
The office provides a channel for students to raise concerns and encourages peaceful, respectful and constructive resolution of student-related issues through dialogue and the appropriate institutional procedures.
