Message from the Research Officer

Welcome to the Research and Innovation Office of The Eldoret National Polytechnic. Research, innovation and technology development are among the key pillars that drive institutional growth and national development. As a Polytechnic committed to excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), we encourage every member of staff and every student to embrace research as an essential part of learning, teaching and problem solving.

I urge our lecturers, trainers, technologists and students to become more innovative by identifying real challenges within our communities and industries, developing practical solutions, publishing quality research, and showcasing innovations that can positively transform society. Every research idea has the potential to become a solution that contributes to Kenya's industrialization, economic growth and sustainable development.

The Research Office remains committed to supporting researchers through capacity building, proposal development, mentorship, publication support, innovation exhibitions and collaboration with universities, industries and development partners. We believe that a strong research culture strengthens teaching, enhances institutional visibility and creates opportunities for funding, commercialization and community impact.

I am pleased to invite all staff, students, researchers, industry partners and the public to participate in the upcoming The Eldoret National Polytechnic Annual Research Conference scheduled for August 2026. The conference will provide an excellent platform for presenting research papers, sharing innovative ideas, networking with experts and showcasing technologies that address current societal and industrial challenges.

We encourage all departments to submit quality research papers and innovative projects for presentation during the conference. Together, let us cultivate a vibrant research culture that positions The Eldoret National Polytechnic as a leading centre for research, innovation and technology transfer.
