The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) is among Kenya's leading Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. The institution traces its origin to 1985 when it was established to provide quality technical education and skilled manpower for national development.
In 1987, Eldoret Polytechnic was formally established through Legal Notice No. 120 under the Education Act. It has since expanded into a centre of excellence offering training in engineering, business, ICT, applied sciences, hospitality, agriculture and many other technical disciplines.
On 22nd August 2014, the institution was elevated to The Eldoret National Polytechnic through Kenya Gazette Legal Notice No. 114 under the TVET Act, 2013. This marked a major milestone in its growth and recognition as a National Polytechnic dedicated to excellence in technical education, innovation, research and technology transfer.
Today, The Eldoret National Polytechnic serves thousands of students annually and continues to produce competent graduates equipped with practical skills, entrepreneurship and innovation. The Polytechnic remains committed to producing globally competitive professionals capable of supporting Kenya's industrialization agenda and socio-economic development.
