On 9th June 2026, Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech hosted Dr. Roseline Arshley, Founder of the Women Leadership Agenda Association (WOLAA) and Lead of the Green Apple Community, widely known as Mama Mazingira.
The meeting focused on potential collaboration and partnership in key areas, including:
* Climate action — notably the exploration of Acacia senegal tree propagation and its value chain.
* Innovation in disability inclusion — specifically the Mazingira/PWDs Bus Innovation, a concept aimed at developing climate smart mobility solutions that enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities.
* Gender mainstreaming — with emphasis on supporting neglected teenage mothers, among other initiatives.
Dr. Arshley expressed appreciation for the institution’s hospitality and welcomed the opportunity to partner as its environmental collaborator. In response, the Chief Principal conveyed gratitude to Mama Mazingira and reiterated the Eldoret National Polytechnic’s commitment to initiatives that equip students with hands on skills while addressing real community challenges, sustainable development and social inclusion.
