On Saturday, April 25, 2026, The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) reached a significant milestone in its mission to globalize technical training. Representing the institution at the QS World University Fair held at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi, our Coordinator for Linkages and International Partnerships, Mr. David Chepkangor, held high-level consultative talks with representatives from Italy’s prestigious Politecnico di Torino.
Strategic Alignment;
The discussions revealed a powerful synergy between the two institutions. Preliminary mapping identified several key areas for potential academic and technical collaboration, specifically within:
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Building and Civil Engineering
3. Hospitality and Tourism Management
4. Business and Management Sciences
The Road Ahead;
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to escalate these discussions. A formal engagement is being organized to bring together the President of Politecnico di Torino, the Chief Principal of TENP - Dr Charles Koech - OGW and Management from both institutions. This upcoming session aims to finalize a framework that will facilitate, Joint curriculum development, student exchanges, staff capacity building, and joint research initiatives, among others.
By broadening our international horizons, TENP continues to ensure that our trainees are equipped with world-class skills that meet global industrial standards.
